Welcome to Sterling Capital

Headquartered in Charlotte, we are a registered investment adviser with the SEC founded in 1970. Sterling Capital is a full-service investment firm and is an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of Guardian Capital Group Limited, a global asset manager.

Medical Benefits

Medical benefits are available for employees and their spouse/domestic partner and children. Employees have the choice between three medical plans offered; a PPO plan and two High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs) that are compatible with the provided Health Savings Account (HSA) option as well.

Dental Program

Sterling Capital offers two dental plans; a PPO plan and a DMO plan. The PPO plan allows you to use in-network or out-of-network benefits, and the DMO plan provides benefits only when you get care from dentists who are part of the network.

Vision Care

We offer two vision plans that allow you to use in-network or out-of-network providers. However, when using out-of-network providers, you will pay expenses at the time of service and file a claim for reimbursement.

Prescription Drug Coverage

When you enroll in a medical plan, you’re also automatically enrolled in prescription drug coverage. If you regularly take the same medications, a mail order program may allow you to get a 90-day supply for a lower cost, saving you trips to the pharmacy and time waiting in line.

Life Insurance

We pay the full cost of coverage for employees Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance. Eligible employees receive 1x Benefits Annual Rate (BAR) rounded to next highest $1,000 up to $700,000, and Business Travel Accident insurance with 4x BAR rounded to the next highest $1,000 in coverage.


Employee Assistance Program

All eligible employees are automatically provided access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) via The Hartford powered by Guidance Resources at no cost to you. The program is a confidential resource available 24/7/365 to help you deal with a variety of life stages and concerns, including: Depression, relationship difficulties, family issues and parenting, etc.

Service Recognition

All regular employees with 20+ weekly hours a week are eligible to receive service recognition time off based on their continuous service date. They are also eligible to receive a recognition keepsake.


Vacation

Paid time off is available to all regular full-time employees based on their tenure and level. Regular part-time benefits-eligible employees qualify for a prorated benefit based on their full-time equivalent percentage.

Sick Pay

We offer sick pay for personal illness or injury caring for a sick child, parent or spouse/domestic partner, and attending medical appointments.

Bereavement Leave

Up to 80 hours of paid time off for the death of a spouse/domestic partner, child, parent, sibling, or any person who at the time of death was living in your household as a member of your family unit.

New Parent Time Off

You can use up to 400 hours of new parent time off (prorated for part-time benefits-eligible employees) to bond with a newborn or a child you’re fostering or have adopted.


Retirement Savings Plan

Sterling offers a competitive 401k investing option for full-time employees with company match up to 4%.
