Barry Gordon

Background
Barry Gordon is the Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Asset Management for Guardian Capital LLC. (Guardian). His mandate includes the oversight and responsibility for Guardian’s subsidiaries in the United States.
Barry began his career in the financial services industry in 1997. From 2003 – 2017, Barry was the Co-Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of First Asset Capital Corp. which he successfully steered throughout the retail intermediary landscape. Under his leadership, First Asset evolved into a highly competitive, independent early entrant into the Canadian ETF market, culminating in its acquisition by CI Investments in 2015. Since 2019, Barry has helped develop Guardian Capital LLC’s retail intermediary business in Canada, adding U.S. retail intermediary to that in 2023.
Barry graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Toronto and a B.A. degree with Honors from Queen’s University in Kingston.
