Background
David Coon, Managing Director, is Head of Intermediary Distribution for SCM’s combined distribution efforts in the U.S. Previously, he worked for Guardian Capital, joining in 2023 with responsibility for sales and service of Guardian’s businesses in the U.S. David brings over 30 years of senior executive, retail, and institutional investment industry experience. His career began in 1992 when he joined Merrill Lynch. Before joining Guardian, David held the role of Partner, Retail Sales and Service for LSV Asset Management, a global equity management service for institutional investors. Previous roles included Managing Director, Head of Retail and Sub-Advisor Sales for Jennison Associates and Vice President, at JP Morgan. David graduated from Michigan’s Albion College with a Bachelor of Science. He earned a MBA from DePaul University in Chicago, IL.
