Background
James Gillespie, Managing Director, joined BB&T Asset Management in 2005 and SCM through merger in 2010. He has industry experience since 1991. Jim is President of the Sterling Capital Funds and has responsibility for the administration and operation of the Funds. He also has responsibility for the accuracy of the Funds’ financial statements and related regulatory filings. Previously, he held management positions with firms in the financial services industry including J.P. Morgan and BISYS Group. Jim received his B.S. in Finance and Business Management from Franklin University.
