Sarah Palmquist, CMFC^®

Background

Sarah B. Palmquist, CMFC^®, Director, joined BB&T in 2007 and Sterling Capital Management through business realignment in 2020. She has investment experience since 2009. Sarah is a senior institutional client strategist focusing on retirement plan solutions. She provides clients with portfolio solutions using her deep understanding of markets, liability-driven investing, and unique legal and regulatory requirements relevant to client boards and investment committees.  Prior to joining Sterling, Sarah held many senior positions at BB&T, including institutional portfolio manager and liquidity product manager. Sarah received her B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Tennessee and her M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
